The Cooperage

Hospitality in Bourbon Country

This short-term rental is a 4-bed 3-bath home just blocks from Louisville bourbon distiller, Angels Envy, in the vibrant Nulu neighborhood. Homeowners poured warm textures, rich colors, and bourbon themes into this sweet getaway spot. This home design is brimming with moody vibes- think dark colors, copper accents, and, of course, bourbon barrel staves.

Named after the space where bourbon barrels are forged, you’ll find variations of oak & iron throughout our home – a nod to the humble beginnings of all Kentucky bourbon.

THE VIBE

This downtown two-story is tall on texture. Brown brick and black Hardie panel exterior give way to an industrial-meets-bourbon interior. We were able to layer black accents thanks to the natural light from 8’ Andersen windows.

The first floor features sealed concrete floors and reclaimed oak wood accents. Be sure to see the bathroom and bedroom designs- each is unique and designed for a memorable stay.

Concrete floors complete the industrial look with black Andersen windows and a Sherwin Williams Iron Ore ceiling.

Japandi Ribbon Natural wood-look tile by Tile Club surrounds the primary bathroom shower. Streamline concrete vanity by West Elm.
