Project Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects of varying size and scale.

  • Oversee and execute project schedules.

  • Direct in-field subcontractor correspondence.

  • Relay plan specifications and design details to subcontractors on site.

  • Uphold Eldridge Company standards for excellence by constantly monitoring the quality of work being performed by each subcontractor.

  • Maintain and execute punchlists for every subcontractor on every job.

  • Fulfill miscellaneous tasks that a project demands between trades.

  • Keep job sites clean, presentable, and secure.

  • Transport materials as needed.

  • Conduct on-site walk-throughs with clients, noting client directives and changes.

  • Always be professional, respectful and courteous to our clients, neighbors, and make sure our subcontractors do the same.

  • Document project progress – take daily photos of work in process, completed work items, quality concern issues, question items, etc.

  • Provide weekly reports for each project you are managing, and relay project details and progress to office during weekly review meetings.

skills & attributes

  • 5+ years of experience as a construction project manager or similar job experience.

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise of the construction process.

  • Ability to comprehend blueprints and relay plan specifications, while also being able to adapt plans as necessary to overcome project challenges and site conditions.

  • Proficiency with email messaging (Gmail) and calendar utilization (iCal).

  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).

  • Experience using scheduling and project management softwares (MS Project, BuilderTrend).

  • Familiarity with Gantt schedules and understanding of critical path execution.

  • Great organizational skills and ability to multi-task across multiple projects.

  • Aptitude to critically think through and overcome obstacles or challenges you may be presented with.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal driven.

  • Well-mannered, professional, and respectful.

  • Excellent judgment, detail oriented, and quality conscious.

  • Clean driving record.

  • Must have your own set of tools to execute miscellaneous on-site tasks.

  • Skilled in several construction trades (drywall patching, framing and trim carpentry, basic plumbing repair, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of all construction trades (electric, HVAC, plumbing, foundations and framing, grading, roofing, insulation and air sealing, etc.)
